I'm having trouble connecting my Aqara Matter/Thread devices to Home Assistant

Hi everyone, I’m having trouble connecting my Aqara Matter/Thread devices to Home Assistant.

Now that I understand better, I’ve tried connecting the Matter/Thread devices (P2 motion and light sensor and P2 door and window sensor) directly to Home Assistant using the Home Assistant Connect ZBT-1 as the coordinator, instead of using the Aqara m3 or m2 hub. I’ve tried all the solutions I’ve read on this forum, but none have worked.

Every time I try to pair my devices with the Home Assistant app on my phone, after the entire process I get the message “Unable to connect to AqaraHome-bee Thread network,” but I didn’t create that network; it must be a problem with the device.

  • I have reinstalled the HA app.
  • I have clean up the Google Play data, thanks to wmaker guy.
  • Next test will be to install the HA app in clean mobile phone.

Could it be that, even though Matter/Thread should work with devices from all manufacturers, Aqara is forcing me to use their own hub?

Thanks a lot for any tips or similar experiences!

Thank you everyone, I have just solved the problem, I had an old mobile phone and I installed the HA app and everthing is fine.

I have been more than one month without being able to use my two Aqara devices, I was planning to buy an Aqara Hub.

so you just used another phone? that was the fix? doesnt seem like much of a fix
