So I just installed my first and second ecobee thermostats… set up local schedules on the ecobees as I’m trying to stay away from cloud however maybe I’ll need it…
So I’ve read differing how-tos on how to get things to HOLD when I leave… as in STOP THE SCHEDULE and set it to a temperature I need to to be until I return 
I know there is a setting on the ecobee to “keep” the change for 2 hours 4 hours etc etc however I don’t want to have to change that because it defeats the purpose of not having to go to the thermostat and change settings…
some say that changing the temp will only last the setting however changing the SCENE will hold permanently… can someone explain?
I just want to be able to set the thermostats when I leave the house and then resume the “schedule” when I return home…
