When you install a new instance of HassOS, it should start as an AP so that you can perform the initial configuration, including wifi.
there is a lot of complexity in setting up WiFi at the moment which would be a blocker to many users.
This should be fairly straight forward to add, and is the way that a lot of devices operate when they have no configuration.

I agree with this, even though my general position is that a infrastructure-like device like a Home-Assistant host would preferably be connected to the network via ethernet for reliability reasons, that is not always possible. And having a fallback option when the normal ethernet connection fails to be able to connect to a AP and correct any configuration issues would be helpful as well.
