I’ve just added a Hive Door Sensor to my collection and its been automatically added to HA. However, the response time is not good enough to actually do anything useful with it.
I’ve set the scan_interval to 1 as that seems to be the lowest value, but thats obviously still a minute.
Happy to investigate any other solutions. I can have the Hive app turn on lights as needed, but that defeats the purpose!
No that is one second.
As it is a cloud polling device you are now sending out requests to the internet every second. If anything this is probably making things worse.
The Hive documentation states that its a value in minutes…

The option for Hive must be specific to that integration.

Got my system up and running a few weeks ago. Now sorting out some automations but have hit this same limitation.
Did you manage to get anywhere on improving the polling time on this?
