In Esphome - how do you tie an entity's state to another entity?

If a switch goes off or on, I’d like to mirror its state to another entity. I’m not really sure how I’d do this. Like an interlock but in reverse? To tie two states together?

I realise I can do it as an automation but is there a simpler way?
