In-Light SMART HUB-150

Has anyone seen anything like this for landscape lighting and added to home assistant. Not sure if there is a ESP option or some other gateway SMART HUB-150 - System | in-lite Outdoor Lighting

I have sent a email to in-lite and this is there answer it is in dutch. Maybe google translate.
So I think it is possible to make a connection with Bluetooth. But I’m not a programmer.
I’m interested too!

Thank you. That’s a better response then I got in Canada. There is hope then possibly.
I’m not a programmer either and this unit is at a remote friends location who I really can’t bug to play. Will keep looking and maybe something will come soon.

the smart bridge is official SMART BRIDGE | De Vliert Sierbestrating
i don’t now of it can be use for home assistant. i have not buy it. price is like hell some as the smart hub-150

Perfect, will look into - dont think there is a hurry on my friends side but nice to see some movement

Is there some progression on a integration of in-lite ble app?
I thought of directly controlling in-lite ble device through a ble dongle from home assistant
I looked into the .apk file of the app for the ble uuid en services for controlling te relais, do i need some encryption code?

Maybe someone has an update on this topic ?

I read in the iOS app update v3.11.0: “in-lite is now ready for the future with Matter! Update the SMART BRIDGE and take advantage of the new Matter integration”. On the in-lite site, there’s a Matter manual (but it doesn’t give a lot of info sadly)

The website of In-lite states that it works with Home Assistant combined with Matter. Anyone who tried this combination yet?

Just came here to rant a little about In-Lite and mostly warn other home automation enthousiasts to stay away from this brand. Their lights are nice but overpriced and the integration with Home Assistant is nonexistent unless you want to use a bridge which does not even seem to support local communication.

I got In-Lite installed by a gardener and since I read it was smart I assumed it would integrate with Home Assistant. Once again assumptions are the mother of all f#ck ups. So all of this is completely to blame on myself.

The mediocre app only connects through Bluetooth and doesnt work half of the time. You can create simple routines within the app but I would hardly call this smart nowadays. For true home automation integration you need to buy a bridge which acts as a Bluetooth proxy but direct and local integration with Home Assistant seems to be lacking. This bridge is now €189 (which is €50,- more than earlier this year). while it’s functionality can also be achieved with a €5,- ESP-32 running ESPHome. From a client perspective looking for simplicty, local integration and a environment friendly solution (not another bridge) this is just wrong.

I asked In-Lite if they have any plans to allow direct Bluetooth communication but you can guess the answer. There I said it, it’s not gonna change anything for me but perhaps I helped someone else make the same mistake.

Hey together,

as I also don’t feel like buying a separate box for an unreasonable price. I created a custom integration for home assistant. Bear with me, it is my first integration for home assistant, but I am sure with your help in testing all will be good.

So far I tested it with the HUB-150 but it should also work with HUB-75.

You need to login with your account during setup to retrieve the encryption key that is used to encrypt the bluetooth communication.

The communication between Home Assistant and the hub is done completely local using bluetooth. The key needs to be retrieved once using the cloud.

Please use the Issue Tracker in Github to give feedback and feature requests. Currently the three (and I think it is two for HUB-75) light switches for HUB-150 are shown as entities in Home Assistant and can be controlled using bluetooth.

Looking forward to the feedback and happy testing!

Bennet

Hey!

I have been following this thread for a while, I also tried to make some reverse engineering on it without success.

Found your post yesterday and I just installed the integration, it was flawless!

Everything works as expected, the 3 lights show up, with the names I had setup in the app, the current status is also visible, props to you! You just made all my ideas, about automating things in the garden, possible.

I would advise however to the owners of the system to never update the firmware in case in-lite decides to pull a fast one and prevent this workaround.

Thank you!

Thanks @LuisMAlmeida! Love to hear that it works for you.

Please let me know if anything is not working or you have any suggestions for improvements!
