I would like to have a way to give an alias for states when asking voice assistants for them.
Example: I have a binary sensor, a door sensor, that has the states “on” and “off” which mean “closed” and “opened”. If I ask my voice assistant to give me the status of the sensor, I do not want to hear “on” or “off”, I want to hear “opened” or “closed”.
So it would be great if we could have aliases for states too, in addition to the aliases for entities.
Side note: I’m not even sure if it is possible to ask for the status of an entity. So this might be a bigger challenge.
