Increased power consumption in deep sleep due to wifi

Hi,
I’ve a few older lolin32_lite boards and wanted to use them somehow. After some testing, I’ve noticed that power consumption in deep sleep depends on whether there is wifi configured in my YAML file. Without wifi, sleep battery current draw is 1.2mA. With wifi, sleep battery current draw is 2.5x higher, 2.9 mA.

Is this expected ? Is there any setting, which could reduce sleep current with wifi?

Newer Wemos S2 mini boards with D1 battery shield do not exhibit this behaviour. Sleep current is always 0.11 mA, with or without Wifi.
