Initial aqara hub setup failed after discovery, now I can't connect it

Hi. I installed an aqara hub yesterday and additional 7 child devices within the Mi Home app. Everything working as expected inside the Mi Home app.

When I visited my home assistant UI i got a notification about an auto discovered device. This was the aqara integration, (with apple homekit logo???). It asked for a pairing code in the format of xxxx-xx-xxxx or something very close to that. It also said, that the code would usually be on the physical device it self. True enough there is a homekit sticker with a code on it. but it didn’t match the format. it was:
xxxx
xxxx
I entered the number in sequence xxxxxxxx, but it didn’t integrate successfully. I then tried again, but the integration responded with something like “sorry this device have already been paried with a different service”…

I then tried finding it in the add integration menu. Here it asks for ip (option) or mac address (optional). It doesn’t find the device when not providing ip address, and when giving the ip address of the device i get the error:

Failed to discover a Xiaomi Aqara Gateway, try using the IP of the device running HomeAssistant as interface

Any suggestions how I can make the integration integrate successfully ?
