Id never heard of Inkplates until I saw they were added to ESPHome - an ‘open hardware’ project to repurpose Kindle screens as general purpose e-ink displays.
I was pretty excited as I have a kindle lying around - but I think i’ve misunderstood the whole thing as they only seem to sell them, whereas I was hoping to able to repurpose my own?
Anyway, does anyone know if you can make your own inkplate? Alternatively, is it possible to use a kindle display like this? I know there’s the HTML rending route + kindle browser but im not keen on that.
