I installed an Inovelli LZW31 dimmer switch over the weekend and after going through updating the Open Z-Wave configuration it is working. But when I turn on my fixture with three 8 watt LED bulbs Home Assistant only reports 2.4W of power being consumed. It really should be around 24 Watts so I suspect there is a units/scaling issue.
Where would the scaling of a Z-wave power measuring device be stored/ calculated so I can try to figure out where this is?
I have seen my Inovelli switches reporting their power usage in the OZW log. You can access it in your configuration folder or through the Zwave module under the configuration tab. That’s where I would start.
Hi,
I tried same with LZW31-SN (red series)
I had a really hard time with inclusion with aeotec zw090-A usb dongle (zwave +)
After hours of playing with it finally I got two switches to pair and HA is only showing Inovelli Unkown Dead and other dimmer as initializing.
I have no ability to do anything with icon there is no association with any icon, plainly sensor is reporting and that is…
Could you share what you did to get it to show in HA.
I have latest HA and I did updated openz-wave to 1.6 but py wrapper is not yet there.
Is that an issue and I need to wait for py-openzwave to catch up or I am missing something …
Much appreciated…
Home assistant does not work with Open Zwave 1.6 yet, so try updating the config using https://github.com/bmtKIA6/home-assistant-Inovelli-openzwave which is what I did. otherwise it showed up and unknown. I did have to restart HA a few times and muck around with things to get it to work. Also see the thread Belgian_style mentioned.
I just want the wattage to be reported right, but I can live with it being 1/10th the actual.
I cloned ozw 1.6 let pywrapper at 1.4 and it worked for me. All the switches pooped up and I get correct W/KW reports…
I am surprised how inconsistent pairing is on these dimmers. One is 6x times paddle one is 3x times.
Other than that these switches you can configure all day long… they have tons of options it is mind bending …
