Install Hass on Protectli FW6A-0-4-32

Hello,

I have only tested HomeAssistant on a VM and would now like to move it to a dedicated machine. I have a MiniPc from Protectli (FW6A-0-4-32, Intel Celeron 3865U, 64 bit, 4GB RAM, 32GB mSATA) lying around. Can I run HomeAssistant on this? Since I’m not so familiar with the Linux world, I would prefer to be able to install one of the ready-made images there. Would that work and if so which one should I use?Alternatively, what other options do I have?

Many thanks for your tips.
Best regards
Loki

Yes. But to know if you can use HA OS, you need to know if the miniPC supports UEFI.

Hello,

I have made it. HA runs absolutely great on the machine. Thanks for your feedback.

I would love to know the steps you took to get HA on the vault. I have one and want to run it on there instead of my RPi but really don’t know where to start.

I have installed HomeAssistant Core directly on the device following these instructions. Since then it runs absolutely without problems. I am very happy with it.
