Long story short: I have wiped and put a fresh install of hassio on a raspberry pi 2 (first gen) and everything seemed to be just fine (listed below) then on a reboot everything when belly up. Cameras won’t connect, z-wave enttities are all presumed dead and the mqtt doesn’t show anything.
Can you post your logs? Did you run the configuration check before restarting? You don’t need to do a full reboot after editing configuration.yaml by the way. You can just restart Home Assistant.
Also, please note the raspberry pi 2 will not provide a great experience with Home Assistant.
@Tediore I did, the config check was green. I wanted to get this minimum viable product in testing with the family before upgrading the hardware (understanding some slowness would be there).

I fixed the z-wave following this: ZWave stick USB port now configurable via GUI?
