I want to use my windows pc as a home assistant server but i want to still use my pc along this, i also want it in such a way that if i turn my pc down it will continue to run the server.
And all of this is besides the fact that i have to deal with my parents who want to have my boot drive when I go to bed so I don’t play games and such, so if it is possible I need to install it on a different drive.
But now my question is if this is possible.
I really appreciate if someone can tell me.
Home Assistant is designed to run 24/7, so you would miss out a lot running it only parts of the day on a computer that gets disabled every night. If they remove your Windows boot drive every night that means you don’t have Windows to install it on.
Save up some money and buy something you can run it on 24/7, like a NUC, a Raspberry Pi 4 or newer.
