Installation fails (Can't pull update)

Hi,

Re-imaging my existing installation after a move to a new home, I decided to wipe and flash with the new image via Raspberry Pi Imager. All goes well with the flashing, then I startup and it seems that 2023.5.4 does not exist:

Any ideas?

Have the same issue with an RP4

I’m beginning to think either no-one knows the answer, or it’s so common that the answer is posted elsewhere, but a search of here, reddit and everywhere else I know of turns up no solution.

I’ve been trying various stuff myself and if I get it working I’ll let you know, looks like we’re on our own for this one.

Here’s where I am so far: Full wipe, fresh SD card, clear of cache from RPi imager, redownload of HASSOS for RPi3, reflash, reverify: pop into Pi:

Yup, same issue. There is definitely a problem with the install. Can’t even get to CLI.

I mean the files are available for download, I can go to github and see them there, I just can’t get this install to work.

Well, I’m going to chalk this up as a learning experience. I connected a monitor and watched the output as the install was proceeding.

Round about the time the installation was attempting to download the 2023.5.4 package, I started seeing a lot of mmcblkop console messages (nothing on the install web page, btw, just the error messages I had before.)

This gave me something to run with; a likely corrupt sdcard.

I replaced that: problem solved. I’m going to mark this as a solution for me, and make a mental note to attempt to resolve issues using the console or SSH in future before posting here.
