Hi,
I am stuck with my installation - it just stops at the line:
[supervisor.resolution.fixup] System autofix complete
and hangs there forever (more than 20+ minutes). I tried two different SD cards, different networks, etc. nothing works. I am connected via wifi btw. The supervisor gives:
Home Assistant observer
Supervisor: Connected
Supported: Supported
Healthy: Healthy
but I am still on Preparing Home Assistant
screen. Any hints, please? The full log is below:

Solved. It just tooks much longer apparently on my RPI3.

Can you say how long? I’m also using an RPI3, and mine has been sitting for two hours now with no further log messages and no progress.

In my case it was less than 2 hours
I am sitting here wondering what in the world could be taking it so long…1 hour 30 minutes so far.
I initially had the 500 error on the network because it was autodiscovering the wrong name server. Once that was corrected I finally got the home screen but it is just sitting there on the same thing OP mentioned. I will give it another 30 or so, but that seems wrong…to take so long.
In my case it just loops and loops
That moment when you have the same issue, did not remember you had the issue previously and find your own message in a forum…lol.
It takes longer now. Before it took almost 2 hours, but now it is 2 hours and 20 minutes so far…this is kind of insane. No progress updates, and what is it doing that takes this long?! lol.

I have got a Raspi2, so I wrote https://github.com/home-assistant/operating-system/releases/download/13.1/haos_rpi2-13.1.img.xz to an SDcard … and “Preparing Home Assistant” is now taking a few hours.
Hopefully a nice result tomorrow morning … fingers crossed …
EDIT: already there! Not bad for a raspi 2 (from 2015) … 2-3 hours.

raspberry pi 3 B , same issue for 40 mins now…
Raspi3b here, with a TF card with I/O speed up to 180MB/s, it tooks about 20 mins.

just leave it alone, everything is gonna be fine
I would suspect that the reason it is so slow is that, because of the small RAM (1GB), there is a lot of disk swapping (virtual memory; SD card acting as an extension of RAM)
A functional RPi 3B+ is about US$50 (no case). Consider a refurbished tower PC for about US$90:
Faster CPU
8x RAM
30x hard drive
case
well supported OS (Ubuntu)
can run other programs when HAOS is installed in a virtual machine
Downsides
Energy consumption: 24W (RPi is 5-10W)
No embedded I/O (This could be resolved with an Arduino Nano --8 digital, 8 analog, SPI-- and MySensors for US$2.50 )
A lot bigger!
Using USB ports in HAOS is do-able, though a small challenge.
