Installation on ZimaBoard missing Add on selection

I’m new to Home Assistant and Installed HA on a ZimaBoard.

Everything was going splendid until I went to find the Add on selection under Settings to add Terminal & SSH.

My menu selections seem to be miss the “Add On” selection.

Does anyone have any advice as to why this may be missing?

Thanks!

How did you install HA, i.e. what tutorial did you follow?

ZimaBoard has CasaOS operating system and Home Assistant is one of the offered programs that comes with it. I was never given a choice that I remember during the installation… just clicked the icon and it started installing.

Is there different versions? and is there a way to tell what version I have?

Thanks for your help

Those are the officially supported installation methods:

No clue which one CasaOS is using, but very likely “Container” or “Core”, and those do not support addons.

Settings → System → Repairs → 3dots in upper right corner → System information

Thanks.

Looks like I have:

Core - 2023.6.3
Unsupported Third Party Container

It is really a case of a person doesn’t know what they don’t know

Now to research into what the differences are, If what I have will do what I need it to do, or if I just bought a fairly expensive paperweight.

Thanks again for your help!

If addons are so important to you, I’d be happy to get you rid of your paperweight at a discounted price
I’m actually looking for an inexpensive hackable router…

You should be able to flash haos on it.

Otherwise most add-ons have regular docker alternatives.
