I’m sorry for the basic question but I have searched around and been unable to find a answer. Obviously I am very new to HA. I’m am trying to install the Envisalink integration from Github. see link. core/homeassistant/components/envisalink at dev · home-assistant/core · GitHub
I have tried the Hacs paste the link in method to load the intergration with know luck.
I also didn’t see any install directions in the intergration link. If someone could help me out I would be very grateful.
It’s part of the Home Assistant Core program you don’t have to install it. Just configure it like this:
Thank you very much that worked perfectly. I was trying to make it more complicated than it needed to be.
cheers
I am having issues with EVL4.
In the logs it says “password incorrect” & “Envizalink rejected credentials”
Ive changed passwords but no luck
any ideas ?
From the config page: " password string REQUIRED
Which password to authenticate with when connecting to the device. EVL3 only works with max. 6 characters."
Guessing your password is more than 6 characters…
Did you ever figure out the issue here? I am having issues getting this working all devices populate and I know password/username/ip are correct but nothing changing status and not able to arm the alarm.
Hi. Mines is working well. Even added it to HomeKit. i started from scratch then I followed the instructions with the simple password and it started working. Good luck
I’m a complete novice. Do you mind posting instructions on how to add envisalink to HA?
Somewhat of a HA noob, having similar issue(s) as those above, hoping someone can help. Have read through Envisalink instructions above. HW is ver 3. username is correct, pw is less than 6 characters. YAML formatting is correct. Still not sure why I can’t get it to recognize panel.
Have 30 zones, all show up as entities but status is “do not have unique id” so not accessible.
Here’s the error message(s) I’m seeing:
Logger: pyenvisalink.envisalink_base_client

Hopefully someone know what else I can try?
Thanks in advance.
Has anyone been able to add a unique ID to DSC entity items?
Envisalink Duo is installed in my Honeywell Vista 20. YAML file is accepted in the configuration file with my parameters.
Now what?
I don’t see any devices or entities associated with the alarm anywhere in Home Assistant.
Did I miss a step somewhere?
For those with an Envisalink 4 trying to get this to work, the 6 digit password limitation affects at least some of the EV4 boards . On my EV4 a 12 digit password would not work and I had to shorten it to 6 characters.
