Installing Home Assistant Core on Enterprise Linux 9 (RHEL, CentOS, Rocky Linux, Alma Linux, etc.)

Hi!

If you’re installing directly on Python on the OSes mentioned in the topic (after manually installing
python3.12 from the OS repositories), you might have noticed a warning in your logs about versions of Sqlite before 3.40.1 being deprecated.

Worry not, you can actually download the RPMs for Fedora and install them. These two:

https://kojipkgs.fedoraproject.org//packages/sqlite/3.40.1/1.eln124/x86_64/sqlite-libs-3.40.1-1.eln124.x86_64.rpm

https://kojipkgs.fedoraproject.org//packages/sqlite/3.40.1/1.eln124/x86_64/sqlite-3.40.1-1.eln124.x86_64.rpm

Note that higher versions will not work due to conflicts with core libs. But these work, fit the requirement, and will make the warning disappear.

You’re welcome.
