Bluetooth proxies seem to be the optimal choice moving forward.
I installed this yesterday and everything worked perfectly. However, today I can’t access the Proxmox GUI and get an Err_connection_refused message. Does anyone now how to solve this?
Something with credentials in the login?
Make sure you set the ‘Realm’ right.
Not even getting that far just putting https://ip.address:8006 and receive the message and it doesn’t connect
Refresh you browser, try another one, make sure the previous ‘session info’ is not added.
Is/are your virtual machine(s) running?
Have you looked at the console from your Proxmox instance?
What is the best strategy to update HA OS ? Direct inside the VM as HA OS ? Or creating a config backup and using Proxmox tools to download a fresh new instance each time ?
I always update HA from its own updates. Every update that is provided within HA can be used.
I have never updated anything related to HA from Proxmox.
I usually create a backup of the VM in Proxmox as insurance then also make a Snapshot of the VM prior to the upgrade. I perform the upgrade without internal HA backup.
After testing the upgrade for a few days, if all is good, I delete the backup and Snapshot. If there is a problem, roll back the Snapshot.
I have automatic backups of my proxmox VM’s and containers. But always update stuff in the HA UI.
Hi guys,
New to proxmox and I have 8.2.2 installed i’m using this guide but for some reason after installation and starting the VM it says:
Waiting for the HA CLI to be ready…
[WARN] HA CLI not starting! Jump into emergency console
I tried everything with the setup, changing the machine type, cpu type, none works…
any suggestions?
Hi everyone,
I´m planning to migrate from my Raspberry Pi (installed as OS) to Mini-PC using Proxmox.
For Zigbee devices, I´m currently using the RaspBee 2 and Zigbee2Mqtt.
I use the Drive Backup Add-On as well as the RPI storage for the last backup.
What I´m wondering is if I migrate HA and switch to an Zigbee USB device (I already have a ConBee 2 lying around), will everything still work or will I have to reconnect all Zigbee devices to the ConBee?
And if I need to reconnect them, do I need to add them back to HA again or will they be recognized by HA once they connect to ConBee and appear in Zigbee2Mqtt?
Thank you for any help!
I didn’t have to re-pair anything when I did the same switch you’re thinking of doing. Just loaded a backup and everything was up and running.
Then again, I used the same zigbee coordinator. Chances are you will have to re-pair your zigbee devices if you’re replacing your coordinator.
The zigbee2mqtt docs have a whole section on changing coordinators.
I am running HAOS on a generic x64 install and I want to turn my current machine into a proxmox server but what I am wondering is, would I be able to create a backup from my current install from HAOS to the vm install?
Yes, the backup holds only the configuration which you can use on another type of HA installation.
When onboarding on a new setup, you get the option to restore.
nice, I just ported everything to proxmox and it worked perfectly. I did not know it installed the OS I thought it would install the container.
One more tip: a community member (tteck) has created a bunch of scripts to install different containers & VM’s in proxmox
These can be helpfull, so maybe have a look at it.
The script fails to execute on Proxmox VE 8.3 (Version check specifies 8.[0-2] explicitly). I manually updated the file locally to include 8.3 and ran it on a fresh installation. It returned “command ‘apt-get update’ failed: exit code 100” but otherwise seems to have executed successfully and PVE continues to operate normally. YMMV.
The scripts have been relocated due to the tteck repositiry being archived. You can find the new ones below. There is also some scripts for existing PM users to update repository location information, etc.
