Hello!
Today I wanted to replace an old niko switch (07011-07016 are the codes on the switch).
It has 4 cables connected. 2 cables green and blue in the top screw. 2 red ones seperate on the bottom.
I succeed in getting the smart switch to power on and be connected with the zigbee and be able to toggle it, HOWEVER, when I connect the 2 wires that are not connected yet (1 red and 1 green) the lights won’t turn on, I have tried to switch those 2 wires, yet it’s the same result.
Anyone an idea what I do wrong?
Both the new smart switch aswell as the old one are added for visuals.
this
looks so very bad! Please get yourself a professional for that task!
Seems like an old version Niko two way switch. How were the cables connected to the switch ? Normally on those switches there is no neutral, so how you connected them to the Sonoff mini ? Sonoff zbmini ? seems wrong anyway.
Yes its a very old switch. Old house also.
The 2 colorful ones were connected together on top.
The 2 red ones seperated.
I tried to look up this old switch to find out the scheme since all cable colors seems a big big mismatch
I would like to learn and understand it myself, thanks for the advice tho
