Insteon category for HA newbies coming from Insteon

If this is out of line, please let me know and delete if needed.

I’m wondering if an Insteon Category could be created for new HA users like me who are trying to figure out how to make things work coming from the context of many years as an Insteon user. The idea would be to have a dedicated forum for the exchange of ideas, questions, and configuration setups as we transition from Insteon and the Hub to HA.

I have successfully installed HA and imported all my devices from my Hub. I can control them in simple on/off scenarios. But I’m still trying to figure out how to move on to Automations, Scenes.

As some examples, Insteon had the concept of Controlers and Responders when setting up scenes. If you had a 6 or 8 button keypad, there was a process for syncing the keypad lights whether they were turned on in the app or locally. I haven’t been able to figure out the right combination of HA Scenes and Automations to replicate how this was done in the Insteon environment.

I also have questions on how best to remove my existing scenes that are still firing in the Hub and replace them with HA equivalents.

The idea would be a category for Insteon implementers to exchange ideas/solutions for how to use HA to set up 3-way switches, multiple keypad configurations, sensor alerts, etc…

I know I would appreciate the help and a place to get it. I haven’t found one elsewhere.

Thanks.

Not a insteon user here.
I understand the idea and support that there could be a need for it, but I also see a risk that it becomes a “closed” group that does not move past the start line.
Kind of like always debating with people with the same opinions as you.

Perhaps what is needed is the mix of both the old Insteon/new Home Assistant users and the old Home Assistant users to get the deeper knowledge.
