Hi all,
New to HA, just got up and running on RPi with Hass.io. Nest, Konnected, NUT components are all working great. I have an Insteon Hub integrated too (latency is a bit higher than I had hoped tho), and all the switches & dimmers I already had linked through the app are showing up in HA.
Anyways, I have an older EZIO2x4 module that I’d like to use: 2 relays (switches), 4 configurable inputs (sensors). I guess Insteon Hub does not support linking with EZIO modules, but since it seems like the Insteon component just uses the Hub as a PLM, I’m wondering if I can get my EZIO2x4 to show up in HA using device_override
.
If Yes, how do I go about figuring out the cat
and subcat
values? Do all 6 inputs/outputs just show up with a single device_override
entry, or do I need one per input or output? Reading the instructions in Insteon component doc, I’ve looked at the module’s user guide but see no obvious clues… Any examples out there are appreciated.
If No, I also have a 2413S PLM lying around that I could use instead of the Insteon Hub. I suppose that will work with the EZIO, but I guess I would have to re-link everything to the PLM instead, and ultimately have the same config questions?
Thanks all!!
