Insteon: What to set up to see user-initiated state changes

I’m new to HA, and would like to know what to set up to log user-initiated (e.g. someone flips a physical ToggleLink) events.

Hello @martinb0820 please check that the default links are added to the device and the modem. This can be done in two ways:

  1. use the “Insteon” panel on the left sidebar. Select the device and select the “All-Link Database” tab. There is a button there to “Add Default Links”. These links ensure the modem hears the user changes from the device.
  2. Relink the device to the modem. This will trigger the process to add the default links.

If that still doesn’t work we can debug the traffic to ensure we are seeing the events.
