Hi!
Firstly, thanks for building Home Assistant. I’ve been playing around with an echo and home assistant. My first stab at this was to make all of my own intents. This has started to become a bit tedious so I’ve been looking into Haaska.
HA already has some build in support for Alexa. It would be cool if this behavior was extended to support the Alexa Smart Home skill available. This skills is meant to talk to a middle layer that then communicates with all of your devices. Haaska takes an approach of a middle layer to the middle layer (I consider HA to be the main middle layer). Considering this, it seems that the Alexa component could both support custom intents as well as this.
Do you have any plans of moving in this direction? Is this something that you are interested in?
Thanks!
Edit: It seems that the smart home skills can only be used with Lambda. Super lame! I thought I read something saying it could also be a web service but I’ve apparently taken crazy pill.s
