Integrate 'zha_toolkit' into ZHA integration

‘zha_toolkit’ is essential in certain situations.
Since HAS 2024.5.0, this integration does not work fine.
Please integrate ‘zha_toolkit’ into ZHA integration !

Can you be more specific?

I assume you are talking about this GitHub - mdeweerd/zha-toolkit: 🧰 Zigbee Home Assistant Toolkit - service for "rare" Zigbee operations using ZHA on Home Assistant

It is a custom integration. If you want it in core, you need to convince the author.

This issue : Detected blocking call to import_module inside the event loop by custom integration 'zha_toolkit' · Issue #224 · mdeweerd/zha-toolkit · GitHub

I just added a comment to that bug to answer that last ask. HA doesn’t reach out and grab integrations for inclusion - instead the dev elects it. If they don’t want to the that’s where it stops unless someone else wants to take over and elect it for inclusion…

You can’t get support for a custom integration that the dev is not actively supporting by ‘throwing it in core’ it doesn’t work like that

Not sure how essential it is. I’ve never heard of it or seen it mentioned before.

Not essential … for you.
A lot of Zigbee Cluster / Attributes are not availables. The only way to access them is read them with zha_toolkit.
An other solution is using MQTT and Zigbee2mqtt, but i prefer ZHA.

Why not concentrate on fixing the custom integration?
