I have Honeywell D3230 installed at home.
I would like to integrate it into HA so I know someone has pressed the doorbell switch.
I have tried putting a vibration sensor on the chime, but the result is very inaccurate.
I have tried putting a contact sensor on the doorbell switch, but the movement of the switch is too little that it is very hard to make clear “open” or “close”.
I am thinking if a wall switch (e.g. Aqaua D1) would work.
Since it is a switch designed for light, clicking it will be constant power on and clicking it again will be power off.
Powering on the doorbell will make the “ding” sound, powering off will make the “dong” sound.
Would it be possible to create an automation in HA to power off when it is powered on, so a complete “ding dong” will sound?
Thanks.
