Daikin AC has a very handy wifi adapter that plugs in to the mini split, and gets managed using their “Go Daikin” mobile app – unfortunately, this component “AWM61A01” isn’t supported under the Daikin integration for now.
I think it’d be great to have it integrated because it’s 1) inexpensive to buy 2) much more reliable than IR transmitters 3) there are lots of these Daikin mini splitters spread around the world!

I emailed daikin earlier asking if they would provide any documentation for this. They said no and that HA is unsupported.
Analysing the communication from the iOS app there’s a lot of traffic to AWS IOT (I wasn’t able to mitm it though for some reason). There’s some traffic directly between the app and the device but it’s encrypted using AES. If you decompile the app and search for “<“payload”:” you’ll see some references to it, but I also couldn’t find the key they use at a glance. So for now no luck unfortunately.
