Integration for a Riello solar inverter (I only have a python script)

Hi there!! First of all, I want to underline that my skills in HA are BASIC skills…

At this link I found a script to read the data of my Riello PV RS 3.0 inverter (RS 3.0 - RIELLO SOLARTECH), since there seems to be no other way than its app (or web portal):
https://github.com/Pierluigi2497/Riello-RSTool

I read the guide for the Home Assistant component “Python Scripts” and I created the folder with the copy of the .py file in that folder (adding the IP and port of my inverter, as explained in the script readme). The script runs correctly when calling the service, but I’m stuck at this point…where can I find the read datas? How can I have the values in a sensor showing the power details from my solar plant?
Anyone who can help me out? It’s really frustrating to have a connected inverter, without any possibility to integrate it in my domotic ecosystem…
I would love to have an integration for that…

Many thanks in advance!

You’re basically asking someone to write an integration for you or completely rewriting that script to push the data into home assistant. It’s no small order. You’ll probably have to make this post in #development and hope someone is kind enough to develop it for you.

Thanks petro,

it would be sufficient to me to read the values by means of the script, but surely an integration would be even better!!
I will move the post to the development section as per your suggestion, thanks!
