Integration of SolarView

Hello!

I currently do my first steps with HA!
I’m looking for a solution to integrate my solar system in HA.
I’m using SolarView to log my inverters since years. And I also found this Custom Component, but this is based on a Modbus TCP connection. My inverters are supporting RS485 only.

Does anybody have any experience with the integration of SolarView or the communication with PowerOne inverters via an USB-RS485 adapter directly?

Hi, yes, direct RS485 works with the built in integration for Aurora PowerOne.

I recommend getting a reasonable quality RS485 to USB adaptor. The cheapest 2-wire ones did not work for me but a 3-wire (inc ground reference) one did.
