The integration sensor is amazing and helpful, although it lacks of a reset service (even better, a reset to a user specified value).
Sometimes, we want to integrate only over a certain period of time or maybe reset every 6 hours or maybe not at specific intervals but when certain events occur.
I think this should be implemented.

Not really. I can’t pause it, for one. I can’t integrate a custom period of time starting in the past, for another.

You got my vote! An easy way to reset the state would be nice. For now I’m going to attempt using a python script to set the state.
Utility meter does not work when two subsequent values are identical.
