Has anybody tried to integrate Eglo brand ceiling fan “smart control kit” controller with HA?
There is an “mycontrol” iPhone app available but I have no idea if the app connects directly with the Wifi controller or it uses a cloud API and if the protocol is published or at least can be reverse engineered.
The mycontrol app works with Alexa and Google Assistant. Not sure if that would open another path to control the fan.
I’m also interested in doing this.
Google Assistant integration would be cloud based, not local based, but my guess/hope is that the My Control app is local based.
I haven’t tried to snif the packets and find out what is being sent over the network.
We have three mounted under our pergola and it would be amazing to have them turn on automatically above a particular temperature if motion is detected.
I didn’t purchase the USB’s as they were expensive via the installer (and we needed three of them), they do however seem very easy to install after the fact.
Anyone managed to get these working in HASS with one of the Tuya Integrations?
I have the Eglo Noosa 52" fan with LED and have just ordered the Wifi module. I note that the My Control App mentioned in the online manual no longer seems available on Google Play. It does appear to be a Tuya app from what I can tell though so should just connect into the Tuya Smartphone app.
I have the Hunter Pacific Evolve working via Local Tuya. I already have the integration working with a bunch of other Tuya devices. Important to add it to the Tuya Smart App is you want to be able to control it via the Tuya integration.
