Hi all,
I have recently energized a Victron Energy system I also have up and running a Net metering system that includes a battery:
- Fronius Gen24 Plus
- BYD HVM 11.04
- 4.92kwp solar panels
Grid and Fronius work in parallel prioritizing first the consumption from Solar/Battery and last Grid
Victron treats the grid (and Fronius) as a generator and has two relays:
- Relay 1 switches to Fronius on demand or if battery falls below 20% it performs passthrough of consumption and a light 5A charge of Victron battery
- Relay 2 works only if Relay 1 is activated and charges the battery with 40A (it doesn’t do anything else)
So far the Fronius integration to HASS has been flawless and although I am novice I managed to create a few automations.
What I want to achieve is to control both Victron relays through HASS.
This way when Fronius reports that the Solar production is above e.g. 1.5kw relay 1 should open. Once the solar production is above e.g. 2.9kw then relay 2 should open etc.
Does anyone have experience with something like this?
I am currently looking into videos on how to integrate Victron to HASS(not so easy for me) but If I manage to do it will such automation be possible?
Thank you in advance for your time.
