Integration with Shadeauto

Hi everyone,

My first time posting here and also new to HA. I have just had some motorized blinds installed that has smart home integration through Shadeauto. ShadeAuto is a Hub and app set up by a USA blinds company called Norman. I haven’t been able to find any integration with HA yet and I am curious to know if anyone has the same blind system and has successfully integrated it with HA. If not is there someone on here working on an integration with that HUB?

Thanks for you time
Zimmie

Hi I am in the same situation. Did you ever find a solution to this?

I’m also here wondering. Nice system though… Would like it to be controlled via HA.

Hello! You have 2 options at the moment to integrate your ShadeAuto shades into HA:
1). Import your ShadeAuto shades as a HomeKit device, which works but you won’t get any information on the state of the battery, which is annoying
2). You can try the new Custom Integration I created which gives you control of the blinds AND reports the state of the battery.

If you’d like to go the custom integration route, install HACS if you haven’t already, then follow the instructions in the repo here. The only thing you need is the IP address of your ShadeAuto hub(s), and then your shades should be auto-discovered and controllable.

If you encounter any issues, just log an issue in the repo and I’ll take a look.
