Intellifire (Wifi Fireplace Module) - Hearth and Home

That sounds about right. That’s why I did the rewrite.

Also I’m thinking switching to the cloud api (todo list) may help reduce timeouts as well because it’s co figured for a long poll option

If anybody’s been waiting for an update → my PR has been sitting in review for a VERY long time…

In any case - since I live at 6700 feet sometimes you need to turn on your fireplace in June!

This was actually really helpful - as the app/HA wasn’t working - checked the error status - reset the fireplace and all is good!

Another PR got accepted… which means:

  • Fan / Climate are coming up
  • Soon to be followed by lights

Great news…

Seeing these errors after 2022.7.0 upgrade

Logger: intellifire4py

Unhandled Exception <class ‘asyncio.exceptions.TimeoutError’>

Do you have debug mode on? It’s reporting I believe when the module query is timing out for 10 calls in a row.

This unfortunately happens with some frequency when using the local interface. I’ll take a look tomorrow but some of the issues we see with the module are connected to this timeout I believe.

Don’t have debug on. Never saw this error before the July update.

I think this just the timeout errors being reported with a new format from the new version of python that is in the July release.

Nice little outage today from Intellifire. Cannot wait to be able to ditch the cloud entirely…

Dear IntelliFire App User, We are currently experiencing an IntelliFire app system outage that will affect app and voice control of your fireplace or stove. We are working as quickly as possible to resolve the issue and will notify you when it is fixed. For now, please use other controls to run your gas fireplace or stove.

Intellifire system is still down - 2 days now…

Anyone else see their fireplace turn on and off randomly. I had it happen over a year ago once that I know about and then it just happen the other night. It’s a very short on then off!

Mine was turning on/off but I think the kids were talking Alexa to it so I turned off the manual switch recently.

Also this is really awesome HA picked it up!

Got this new error

Hmm. Not super useful output. My guess would be it died mid response.

Curious if there has been any progress on light integration. Thanks!

Also interested in the fan speed integration?

It’s been sitting in pr for a long while.

And … now I’m on travel for a week just as they finally got back to it … alas

Hey its progress!

If these last few items can get into the release branches in time for the season I’m gonna be very happy

The fan is nearly done…

  • On/Off switch should be working
  • Thermostat should be working

Jeff, where do you stand with the lights on/off?
I just installed 2022.9 and the fan control is not there.
