Using HA since some months without any problem on duckdns
Started yesterday to get following error from the app.
If I access it through a web browser I get similar message whic I could ignore, but I guess something happened with my certificate? Anything about its renewal?
Any lead would be really appreciated…
In a browser, you can check the certificate that is used.
Is it the correct one, i.e. for “you-domain.duckdns.org”? Is it not expired?
I checked and it expired yesterday. So we found the cause.
I’m afraid I’m not sure how to renew the certificate.
Can you please lead me to the proper resource?
Thanks a lot!
Heh, not like you told how you got the certificate in the first place…
Just installing duckdns addons, so I guess through Let’s encrypt
Then it should be renewed automatically. Check the addon logs…
Figured out. It was my mistake in setting accept_tems: false in add on configuration
This prevented the certificate to be renewed.
Setting it to true and after 4/5 reboots I managed to fix the issue
Just in case someone has the same problem:
For me iOS had switched the full trust in Settings > General > About > Certificate Trust Settings off at some point, probably because I switched the device. This results in the -1202 error as well!
How do I turn this off?
I’m having the same error and I just couldn’t fix it.
I am using Cloudflare for DNS & Nginx as reverse Proxy. For SSL I am using Let’s Encrypt. Does anyone have the solution for It?
FYI - to help others that may run into this.
I’m using Cloudflare DNS and tunneling too
Content filtering services may be blocking your access.
I experienced this at an airbnb rental - the host implemented Sophos home content filtering system. It was aggressively refusing connections to VPN websites, VPN apps AND wildcard SSL connections.
Since I was accessing HA on my phone, I turned off wifi and used cell data; was able to restart HA App and it immediately reconnected!
Thanks @undotcom! I had this exact same issue and it turns out my wife’s workplace has some content filtering as well.
It seems my cloud flare was blocked as well… the thing is that I cannot access my HA anymore…
I hope that it works again tomorrow (hope some timeout applies…)
Is there a way to prevent this blocking ?
