Invalid config found, but don't know why, what, or how

Four-hours-into-this kind of new user. Installed HAOS on an old Asus Chromebox 3 and noticed something was wrong when I tried to load the URL on a my laptop’s browser and couldn’t reach it. When I checked the core, I get the error that the config yaml can’t be found, and when I look at the supervisor logs, I see Invalid Home Assistant config found. So either it can’t be found, or a bad config file is found.

Either way, I don’t know what the issue is, and I don’t know how to capture all the info to share. I’d restart the whole install, but if I don’t know what I did wrong, I might end up doing it again anyway.

OK, let’s work through this.
Do you have a terminal and keyboard on the host computer? Without it we’re kind of blind here.

I do have a monitor and keyboard on the host. I am very novice to using the commands (or python, for that matter)

What do you have on this line?

This morning:
IPv4 addresses for wlp2s0:
IPv4 addresses for eno0: 192.168.1.159/24
IPv6 addresses for eno0: (there are 3 of them, I’ll type them out if needed)

Apparently a good night’s sleep solved itself, because the URL now works (I have to use the truncated format, but it runs)

htto://192.168.1.159:8123 should work.
