Did you try to scan QR Code?
Hi all,
I’ve got the Inventor Legend model of AC using the inventor app which is not working on HA.
To add it to Toya (which worked for me), simple download the Toya smart app on your phone (for me on Android was this one: Mobile app. In the app click add device option and then i selected Large Home Appliances and then “Air Condition (Wi-Fi)”. It will ask you to reset the device but i did not. What i did is to put the AC unit on Access Point (AP) mode, and for my model i needed to press the led button 7 times as stated in the manual. AP should be visible on the AC central unit monitor (or whatever for your model).
Back in the mobile app i confirmed i reset the unit(although i did not), then i choose that the light is slowly blinking (randomly from the 2 options) and then it asked me to change the WiFI network my phone was using to the AP of the AC. So i navigated to wifi menu of my phone, i scanned the networks, AP was visible (don’t remember the name i guess something with inventor on the name or legend as this was my model), back in the app proceed on next step and that’s all.
Now i was able to use the AC from the toya application on my phone. For the HA it is very simple, just follow the instructions here: HA Instructions
Here is a screenshot to prove its working:
Thank you so much Desouler! I have the exact same AC and was trying to figure out how to integrate it into home assistant. Turns out, the Inventor control app is jist a white label Tuya App after all, and with your instructions I was able to pair it to Tuya Smart and integrate it into Home Assistant and HomeKit.
I imagine that I’ll be able to do the same with my Inventor Dehumidifier, as it works with the same app, so I’ll follow the same procedure.
The only issue I’ve found is that some very minor features (such as turning the UV light mode on/off the AC) are not available in the Tuya Smart app, but its very minor compared to having the ability to create climate automation in Home Assistant and HomeKit. Also, I cannot seem to control the fan speed of the AC through Home Assistant, even though the control works perfectly in the Tuya Smart app, but keeping it in auto fan speed is my preference, so it’s not a big issue.
Hello The UV light is the “Plasma” option in the Tuya App when you try to create an automation. So I have created a scene that when the AirCon is powered on, to enable always the UV.
Hello there.
I try to register my Inventor AC’s into Tuya APP but no luck. On the other hand, the Inventor APP is working just fine, but can’t integrate with HA.
I try the Local Tuya integration from HACS but can’t move to next step because it needs the local key.
Any other help would be appreciated
I also wasn’t able to add it to the Tuya or Smartlife app. It seems to block it somehow. If someone has a workaround that would be appreciated.
It’s somewhere in the Tuya cloud so it should be accessible I guess…
