Hello,
I’m looking into using some kind of motion sensor to operate the kitchen lights. The problem is that our dinner table is two meters from the kitchen. I don’t want the lights to turn on and of when we’re at the table. So a normal motion sensor is difficult, because it’ll see too much.
The Aqara FP2 isn’t an option because there is no place to put it (though this would work fine).
I thought I might be able to put an MMwave sensor behind the doors of the kitchen. Would it be able to detect through the doors?
Would there be any other way to have the lights of the kitchen go on when someone is within one meter of the kitchen? Preferably without a sensor in sight.
