After updating to iOS 18 & 2024.9.2 (2024.881) the ‘actions’ that were previously installed/active and installed as widget buttons were MIA (blank widgets).
So I updated the actions section within the app and reselected actions to show up as buttons.
Now my experience is that:
More actions are selected than show up (selected in dropdown vs screened)
Widget size s-m-l seems not consistent with number of buttons shown
Text is aligned to ‘bottom of button’ and is thus in a region that is ’outside the widget space’ (no text for bottom row)
Is there a way in the app or iOS settings to improve the widgets on those points? Is it a future improvement for the iOS app?
Did some more fiddling and testing, it seems related to the ‘widget size = expected/possible # buttons’ and ‘selected # < max possible’
When I totally fill out the‘selected actions/buttons’ the text alignment will match the button because of less height per button.
Also: when ‘editing’ a widget with already selected actions it showed a select/dropdown screen that is blank instead of showing the already selected actions and the blank optional buttons.
