Is it possible to pull in the Apple Watch battery life as a sensor or device value using the new app? I know it does this for the phone battery status.
This is not yet supported.
I feel this is unlikely as I don’t think even the Watch iPhone app knows the watch battery level. I suspect this is to increase battery life. It is possible when a rewrite of the watch part is done to fully exploit WatchOS 6 this could be added then
The Watch App doesn’t display it, but if you go to the widgets screen on the iPhone (swipe all the way to the left from the home screen) if you have the battery widget showing, it will list the battery level of your devices. The data is there, the question remains what API is it exposed in and do we have access to it.
Actually having done a little reading on WatchKit I am certain this could be done. But it remains one for the future. I know Robbie had planned to overhaul the Watch side of things
