Today, out of the blue, the IOS app will no longer connect to my HA server. I’ve been using it for months without issue. The main problem this causes for me is that my location automations no longer fire.
I’m running HA 0.32.4 with iOS app version 1.0 (46). It worked fine until I came home today, and nothing has changed. HA is still running, all my other automations are working fine. The port is still punched through my router so you can get to HA from the outside (verified by loading the web interface in a browser). Nothing has been upgraded, no configs changed. I just restarted HA for good measure, but the issue remains – when I open the iOS app, it says there’s a connection error and to check my settings. (Sidebar: when this happens, there’s no way to exit the Settings screen. You have to force quit the app.)
Any suggestions?
EDIT: Weirdly, the iOS app on my wife’s phone continues to work fine. No issues connecting with the HA server.
Just out of curiosity, what IOS version are you and your wife on?
Check how many apps you have open in the background on your phone. Try closing some if there are a lot.
Try shutting down and restarting your iPhone (remember apple and Microsoft were working together some, so some of the microsoft tricks may have rubbed off on apple ).

I have some issues with set up IOS app with duckdns.org
With local IP address is work fine, but with sub domain of duck dns not able to connect… anyone can help me? I set it up router forwarding, so I have remote access to HA instances, but not able to connect to HA via IOS app. Push notifications is useful when I am not home… so how can I do it ?
Just to close the loop on this, because I realized I never reported back…I wound up having to delete the app and reinstall it from TestFlight. Once I did that, it was able to connect again.
