What is the primary mitigating factor that prevents auto detection of HA in the iOS app during setup? Mine doesn’t show up and I have to enter it by ip manually.
Are the HA server and the phone on a different subnet? I noticed the same behaviour when I implemented VLANs in my system (altough this was quite some time ago).
Nope. It’s all 192.168.1.0/24. Not sure if it’s mDNS or something of that nature, but I can connect when I enter the public URL. Strange.
I never got it to auto detect it, even with mDNS enabled
It worked, strangely enough, when I was using the unsupported supervised version in Ubuntu under Docker…but managing that installation was a headache compared to running in as a VM in Proxmox.
This adds another layer of networking, could be that the problem lies there. Proxmox doesn’t have mDNS as far as I know.
That begs the question then…“is it really a problem?” Not so sure it is since it’s working when manually configured.
That’s what I wanted to ask now It works fine, it’s just not auto-detected.
