Ios companion app and cloud connect not working

I can sign into my account on account.nabucasa but the connect button opens a page with an error ‘connection timed out’. I subscribe to Nabu Casa for companion app access when outside of my LAN.

Also, the companion app opens a blank screen with a gear icon. in the gear icon, ‘WebSocket’ alternates between ‘connecting’ or ‘disconnected’.

I have been using the companion app successfully for as long as I can recall.
My HASS configuration page shows remote control connected, the same URL as what is on the Nabu Casa site, and ‘automatically connect’ is on.

I also deleted the app, which was premature, and need to again set up. Any recommendations on what to look for, please advise.

It looks like it was some issue with the OS. It is working after upgrading to the latest OS and core.
