Hey, has anyone noticed odd behavior from the companion app lately?
Both on HA Cloud and Local access, the app takes around 4 seconds to update the dashboard when the app is opened.
Yes I have seen this as well.
On my iPhone 14 Pro it takes a lot longer than 4 seconds - I would say more like 15-20 seconds and I often seen a brief notice that connection was lost and the app is attempting to reconnect. The recent update made things a bit better but still frustratingly slow.
The companion app on my iPad runs fine though and loads fairly quickly
Same here, also with an iPhone 14Pro.
The app opens relatively quick and also the default dashboard shows up in the same second. But loading most of the entities´ icons and the wait time until the dashboard reacts varies between 10 and 20 seconds. Sometimes only a second tap after some wait time brings the app to react.
Other pages like custom dashboards or the settings page, history page, … do not show such delay.
For reference, it used to take around 1 second to refresh the entities before. Think this started somewhere around 2024.8
