I would like to use a smart button to turn on my iPad on the wall. This already works via the guided access under iOS.
For this I have created an automation which sends a notification to the mobile app of HA. The iPad is connected to a small Bluetooth speaker. You can also play a sound using the command below.
Hi, Iām facing the same problem. I would like to be able to use custom sounds on the companion app in iOS but in guided access mode. Unfortunately, only the default sound works, while the custom sounds are not output.
I use guided access to reactivate an iPad when there is a person in the room via a notification triggered by a PIR sensor.
Being able to use custom sounds would be very useful for recognizing different events
Thanks in advance
Update: I discovered that if the iPad starts from standby the custom sound is played and the device is awakened. However, when you send the notification, but the iPad is already active, the custom sound is blocked
