There was an HN post about an app that exposes an API for iOS screen time, so I’ve created an integration for it:

It’s just got one sensor:

  • Today’s screen time in minutes

If this is up your alley, please try it out and let me know what you think.

Personally, I’m interested in more accurate ways to track screen time. If you have more info on this, please let me know - I’d be open to going through the necessary steps (e.g. requesting entitlements + publishing an app).

I’ve noticed that it doesn’t seem to count time spent in Safari Private Browsing. Otherwise, it seems to be accurate enough.

I investigated ways to get minute-accurate system screen time and came up empty handed so far, even with the appropriate entitlements.
