iOS Widgets stopped working, can't get new custom widget page working

I recently updated to HA 2026.3.4 and iOS 26.4, and one or both of those caused my iOS widget (which was using iOS Buttons) to stop working. Realizing now that iOS Buttons were under “legacy” support, I set about building a “custom” widget in the companion app, however when I add said custom widget in iOS it’s completely blank. Docs say this is in beta, shall I assume this is a beta bug and report it, or does someone else have this working that can guide me towards a working widget? the Scripts widget works fine, BTW.

Tangentially related - is there a way to manually refresh your available Scripts in the companion app after making changes on the server? The only way I’ve found to do a fresh pull is to restart my phone.

I’m so happy to read this. Because I thought I was going insane. Maybe we both are, but at least i’m not alone

My legacy triggers (actions) have always been working just fine, but they don’t respond anymore. The automations just don’t get triggered at all when pushing the buttons in the widgets (legacy).

I was running the testflight version of the companion app and have installed the stable, but same result.

With the new widgets I’m experience exactly the same with you. I can create them within the companion app, I can select them within the widget section, but they never show. The tasklist for example, just works fine

I’m pulling my hair, because already tried deinstalling the app, resetting the frontend cache, but nothing seems to help.

So not really much of a help to you, but maybe we have some simularities which breaks stuff. My Internal address is the local ip with 8123 for port, and remote through Cloud. Funny enough they do work through my Apple Watch.

Running 2026.4.0 HA, 2026.2.1 companion app.
I already searched Github a bit, but cannot find anything simular.

It looks like I’m having a similar issue. I already moved from legacy way to custom scripts several months ago and it was working fine. I’m not sure what exactly was the trigger when it stopped working. It might be the iOS upgrade to 26.4 but I’m unable to remember. I am pretty sure that it was still working on March 18th, cause I was able to open my garage using the custom script widget. I’m not sure if it still worked on 25th which should be already after I upgraded my device. What I can say is the fact that only my iPhone is affected. The same is working on my iPad, also on version 26.4

For me I’m sure it was working on the 25th. Because that was the ls run time of my automation. It got reset because I used my apple watch. But yes, the update to latest version of iOS very well could be the reason it’s not working anymore. But I’d assume there would be an issue for it on github.

Today it started working again on my iPhone. Today I got a HA Core Update to 2026.4.1. Not sure it was working again before or afterwards. I also rebooted my iPhone due to another thing. But I already rebooted the device after it stopped working, So iPhone reboot should not be the reason.
