IP Camera - Vivitar IPC-113

Just picked up a Vivitar IPC-113 from EB Games, because it was on special, and have been trying to get something to show up in HA. Just wondering if anyone has used one or had any luck with getting it into HA.

The camera itself seems to be working quite well in the app, which has a registration process similar to Tuya. I have tried to get it into the Tuya app but no luck. I’ve tried accessing it using https://www.home-assistant.io/integrations/generic_ip_camera which produces a generic camera entity in HA but it won’t take any snapshots, etc. and remains on idle.

I’ve also tried https://www.home-assistant.io/integrations/stream/ but can’t get anything to show up. I’m not sure if it has a username and password as it pairs through the app, so there’s no credentials tied directly to the device.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Admittedly, I did little research on this one and couldn’t find much documentation in my brief search. I only picked it up because it was cheap and hoped it would just connect as a generic IP camera.

Did you happen to ever find a solution for this? I have this same camera and am looking to integrate it into my home assistant setup.

Nope, never found anything. I emailed the manufacturer to see if they could give me any assistance with accessing the camera outside of the app but they were no help. I found, if you go to the local IP address for the camera in a browser, it will give you a username and password pop up, but I have no idea what the credentials are, and no amount of Googling has presented a solution.

In the end, I kind of gave up.

Well, I guess you saved me some time at least, thanks for the info!
