iPAD as person

Hi Team,

I am sure this has been covered before, but me being new to HA I will ask anyway.

I have 2 kids that come to me every two weeks.
They bring their iPad or Andriod tablet to my house.
I want HA to recognise them as a person once they come onto the network.

I have seen a video about installing HA App on the devices.

Is there another way to recognise the device on the network? i.e. MAC Address

Or your router if it has an available integration.

You would have to add your kid/s as a person, then link the device to the person, in the person menu.
